STATEMENT OF CALLING

First Christian Church's calling is to be a community of faith in Macon, Georgia which practices faithful discipleship in Jesus Christ and is open to and welcoming of all people. Our congregation seeks to be a living example of God's love and presence in our community through word and deed:

• By making worship central to our life together;
  
• By nurturing Christian faith through education and service to others;
  
• By sharing the good news with all people;
  
• By striving for unity and reconciliation among God's children.

As God's people, we commit ourselves to this calling, asking God's help as we seek to be faithful.
