Statement of Calling
First Christian Church's calling is to be a community of faith in Macon, Georgia.
We are called to practice faithful discipleship in Jesus Christ and are open to and
welcoming of all people. Our congregation seeks to be a living example of God's love
and presence in our community through word and deed:
- By making worship central to our life together
- By nurturing Christian faith through education and service to others
- By sharing the good news with all people
- By striving for unity and reconciliation among God's children
As God's people, we commit ourselves to this calling, asking God's help as we seek to be faithful.
